Church services went really well yesterday. Pastor Rice preached two awesome messages that really convicted me. The first was the Sunday morning service. He spoke on giving God "our best". He used the example of Mary annointing the feet of Jesus. She gave her most prized item and game it to the Lord. We as Christians should also give God our best in everything we do. We tend to give Him the extra five minutes at the end of the day though. Why don't we give God our "best"? He certainly gave us His best by sending His Son to die.
The second message that I found really good was on having a "passion for souls". Pastor Rice asked a question that has sort of stuck in my mind. He asked, "When was the last time that the thought of someone dying and spending an eternity in Hell moved you?" Why are we always so worried about the small things in life, when our friends, family, and neighbors are going to Hell. Ask God to give you a passion for souls!
